CameraX API # 2 - Requesting Camera Permissions

By Jamie Lee on Aug 16, 2019

About

CameraX is a Jetpack support library, built to help you make camera app development easier. It provides a consistent and easy-to-use API surface that works across most Android devices. In this 3-part skill pack, we will explore some of the exciting Jetpack features announced at Google I/O ‘19 and give you step-by-step instructions for setting up a camera in your app using CameraX.

Any app that utilizes the user’s smartphone camera must request permission from the user first. In the second screencast, you will create a feature that requests permission to use the camera from the user.
