Room with Coroutines

By Amit Bijlani on Nov 01, 2019

About

Room databases are a common solution for local application storage, but the vanilla setup requires the use of callbacks to deal with the background threading. Code written in this style often appears disjointed and can be difficult to understand for future developers. Using coroutines to manage the threading of your Room database allows for a more straightforward imperative style, which is usually easier to read and maintain going forward.
